Cycling is a great way to see the North York Moors diverse countryside. Our bespoke cycling holiday covers around 150 miles riding over 4 days, where you’ll see the iconic Yorkshire coast, quaint villages and countryside, woodland and forest trails, and of course our fabulous open moorland.

We provide everything you need to enjoy your cycling holiday:

  • Good quality bikes perfectly suited to terrain you’ll be riding
  • A pre-planned route with detailed maps and itinerary for each day
  • 5 nights excellent accommodation including breakfast
  • Daily luggage transfer so you can travel light knowing your bags will be waiting for you at the end of each day
  • All essential tools and equipment (helmets, puncture repairs, etc)

Of course this trip is fully flexible and we can change any aspect of it to create your own bespoke cycling holiday.


Day 1

WhitbyArrive at your provided accommodation in Whitby the night before your Moors Grand Tour begins. We will come and meet you with the bikes, equipment, and all the information you need so you’re ready ride the next day.


Day 2

Robin Hoods BayThe Moors Grand Tour starts from Whitby, heads down the coast for a while before moving inland through villages, open moorland and long woodland trails. You’ll then head back to the coast, finishing the day at Robin Hoods Bay.


Day 3

Cinder trackFrom Robin Hoods Bay you’ll be heading down the Yorkshire Coast to the seaside town of Scarborough. Then you’ll ride inland along the southern edge of the North York Moors to finish the day at Pickering.


Day 4

RosedaleAfter a good nights rest in Pickering, you’ll make your way west and North across the width of the Nation Park. Passing through Rosedale Abbey, your third days riding will finish at Great Ayton on the Northern edge of North Yorkshire.


Day 5

DanbyThe final days ride sees you travel around 30 miles eastward from your overnight stop in Great Ayton, along the Esk Valley and finishing back in Whitby.
